Role Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £60,000  dependent on experience. Uncapped commission.

We are seeking a standout individual who can truly embody the culture and values of tmc3. We need someone who not only has the ability to sell Cyber Security and Data Protection Professional Services, but who can also hit the ground running by leveraging their extensive network, knowledge, and partnerships to establish new sales pipelines and customers for our organisation. Innovation, passion, and a hunger for continuous learning are essential traits for success in this role, and our ideal candidate will have the support of our technical pre-sales and commercial teams every step of the way.

It is crucial that our Business Development Manager has comprehensive experience within the UK Public Sector Procurement Frameworks, understands the intricacies of developing a Proposal Response (including RFI's, PQQ's, and ITT's), and understands bid management.  While proficiency in Cyber Security Services is not a requirement, the ability to sell and a willingness to learn about tmc3's core services are essential.


 

Responsibilities  

  • Support the execution of the tmc3 Business Development Strategy
  • Ability to identify, orchestrate and support the response to public sector bid tenders
  • Generate and qualify sales leads and opportunities for our core services
  • Identify client need and create intelligent account plans that are appropriate, pragmatic and aligned to customer risk, and capability to deliver or consume support
  • Upsell services, to current customer portfolio
  • Identify growth opportunities within the Core Sectors:
    • Government
    • Critical National Infrastructure
    • Defence and Security
    • Healthcare and Policing
  • Manage and maintain Account Plans, with the Sector, Service and Key Account Leads
  • Create sales proposals and compile bid responses, with support from the Bid Team
  • Achieve sales, profit and performance targets, agreed as part of the business strategy
  • Maintain consistent and accurate records within the CRM system (HubSpot)
  • Develop and maintain excellent prospect and client relationships and ensure the highest level of customer partnering and satisfaction is achieved
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Identify and attend events and conferences, to increase knowledge of the industry and target sectors
  • Conduct upstream activity, to generate leads, insights and respond to target / future opportunities
  • Identify events for tmc3 to exhibit at and organise tmc3 customer events
  • Report into the Executive Committee, on sales pipeline, risks, issues, initiatives and opportunities

What are we looking for?

  • Evidence of a successful sales track record, particularly securing £1m – £2m opportunities
  • Awareness of our key sectors:
    • Government
    • Critical National Infrastructure
    • Defence and Security
    • Healthcare and Policing
  • Previous experience of selling technical / cyber security services, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to lead on tmc3 BD initiatives, as well as support the wider Team
