tmc3 to give all staff a £2,000 cost of living grant

tmc3 are pleased to announce a support package for all staff to help with the rising cost of living.

Winter is coming and with energy prices rocketing to levels never seen before there is good reason for concern for people across the UK as the crisis has become very real. In direct response to this situation, we are taking action by announcing additional support measures to help subsidise the costs associated with rising energy prices.

As a people centric business, our team are at the centre of everything we do, and we will always do the right thing by our colleagues. We should not and will not allow employees to be forced into a situation where it is a choice of powering the laptop for a workday or putting on the heating. So naturally, the tmc3 Executive Leadership Team unanimously approved the support package.

Paid in September, all employees will receive a payment of £2,000 to help subsidise and protect against the rising cost of living we are going to face across the winter months.

Adam Casey, Director added:

We are proud to be a people first business and we wanted to demonstrate this with action and not just words. The thought of any of our employees worrying about the exponential costs to heat and eat over winter, was a concern to us. We hope this contribution goes towards alleviating any personal pressures and stress on our team, and their families.”

Wider Initiatives

In recognition that the energy crisis is not going to be fixed or abated by just this initiative alone, tmc3 is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2024 through other projects.

tmc3 is making progress towards achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2024. We will continue to focus on actual reductions in our emissions by engaging key suppliers to
reduce their emissions and equipping our people to make climate-smart travel decisions.
Whilst we celebrate the temporary reductions in emissions seen in fiscal year 2021, and the
important possibilities this represents, our sights remain firmly set on exceeding all elements
of our Science-Based Target on a long-term basis once the impacts of the pandemic have
settled.

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets:

  • Committed to the Queens Green Canopy Scheme whereby our staff have
been encouraged to be engaged in planting a variety of trees in support of the
    Platinum Jubilee.
  • Mandating paper free offices.
  • All employees are committed to green sources of energy at home and are
operating either renewables solutions or sourcing their electricity supply from
    a 100% green energy supplier.
  • Reduction of business travel, with a 'virtual first' meeting policy.

In the future we plan to implement further measures such as:

  • Employee engagement and upskilling: Offering a range of engagement activities such as our Eco Innovation Challenge, Sustainability Quotient training, Carbon + Climate training, Eco Action campaign and ecovolunteering opportunities.
  • Promote and encourage corporate recycling initiatives through introducing our staff to a recycling app, introducing a paperless office policy, buying recycled supplies.

Full details of our initiatives can be found within the tmc3 Carbon Reduction Plan.
